Una Tickets (Acquired by Sky)
We began Una Tickets in 2014 with a concept capable of changing the ticketing industry. That concept was acknowledged by Innovate UK who awarded us £230,000 in match funding. We raised the match funding required from Private Angels in a 72 hour period and went on to raise a total of £1.1m at a multi-million pound valuation. That money bought us the very best team and together we built the very best system.
We finally announced our concept to the world in April 2015 with a bold headline on the front of Music Week 'We want to take on Ticketmaster'. In an even bolder move, we made the decision to trial the system at The Association of Independent Festivals' annual conference, with the very people we needed to impress. Despite feeling very nervous about this, the system did the job. So much so, Sky UK made an acquisition offer. The rest is history shall we say.
